Master the Inside Game and Succeed in the Outside World

We live in a time when automation, technology and tools of convenience dominate our lives. How quickly can we get from point A to point B? How clear can our cell phone connection be? Can we surf the internet while we’re on the train going to work? How fast is our internet speed? Our lives have turned into repeating cycles of how much we can get and how fast we can get it.
I think technology is wonderful. I have always enjoyed using it. These tools are very useful. Yet, they are all part of the external world experience. We are losing touch of our internal world experience. We are spiritual beings having a physical experience. Not the other way around. When we forget that, and identify only with the physical, we cut ourselves off from the highest form of technology there is or ever will be….God consciousness.
Lately, as time continues to expand and accelerate, I speak to people all the time who are experiencing high levels of anxiety, worry and frustration at unparalleled levels to what I saw even 15 years ago. My counsel is often around stopping the noise from the external. When the noise of the external…i.e. technology, ambition, commitments, taxes, traffic, body image, etc… dominate our perspective we disconnect ourselves from our power source. We literally get in the way of what it is we say we want….happiness, well being, prosperity, and love.
In a recent PBS special Wayne Dyer said it beautifully when he talked about the most important relationship we have in life. It is not with ourself. It is our relationship to Source…that relationship helps us reveal ourselves to ourselves.
I see it everyday in my life and in my practice. When we master the inside game, the outside world lands at our feet. I think of it a lot like the movie the Matrix. In the first installment, at the end of the move Keanu Reeves finally “gets it”, and suddenly the Matrix is at his control. His vibration is so much more rapid than that of the Matrix that he actually has to slow down to work within it.
As you approach each day…REMEMBER who you are. Remember the true matrix you are living in. You are God. God is in your DNA. When you work from that perspective back, life takes on a very different view. One day, you will not have a body any longer. You are energy. Energy does not die. It only changes form. The energy that lives on is the essence of you. Your God consciousness. Put your attention there..on the infinite nature of universal consciousness. You will experience unlimited peace and contentment. Put gasoline on that fire. Not on the fire of the external. I promise you life will take on a completely different perspective.
Love and light,

The
Price of Poverty
published by Self
Growth.com
So often we think of poverty and
lack in the first person. I dont have
enough to pay for ... (fill in the blank). I
can't change jobs, or start my own
business because (fill in the blank). I
can't do that seminar because ... (fill in
the blank). We justify why we stay stuck,
and make it very plausible.
Smart people are the biggest offenders. We are
adept at creating on the
physical level and we want to control the nonphysical
level. The art of
working with the intangible is a feeling
thing, not a doing thing. Feeling
your power ... not getting power. Allowing ...
not controlling. Trusting ... not
worrying. Listening to your guidance ... not tuning
it out.
Our finances are always the easiest excuse we
use to avoid our truth.
Everyone gets that excuse. Like all
excuses it is just that, an excuse. A
deflection of the truth, to justify nurturing
lack of self love, to feed the needs
of the ego its necessary diet of fear. Without
it ego loses its power ... much
like a balloon that deflates when the air is let
out.
The consciousness of poverty, lack and not enough
goes far beyond the
individual, and their circumstance. All words
and thoughts have a
consciousness. When we feed the lack in our own
consciousness we feed the
consciousness of collective lack and
poverty. It's like throwing one more
piece of garbage along the roadside, and justifying
that it doesn't really
matter that we did that. What this really indicates
is a consciousness of low
self-worth. We dismiss our own value, and our
own power. We negate that
we are powerful mighty beings just by being born
on the planet. When we
do not have self-worth, we cannot be abundant
and prosperous.
We came from a consciousness that knows only love.
When we diss-align
ourselves with the truth of who we are, we experience
separation from those
vibrations in the form of poor relationships,
limited financial well being, and
even poor health. In other words, you can't "diss"
yourself, and expect to
attract abundance.
The price of poverty is that we feed the very
consciousness we do not want
to have in our lives. We make that consciousness
more accessible to
everyone as we help grow it with our own thoughts.
That is the big game
that gets played on our planet right now. That
the external is the ultimate
reality. This is the disease of duality that everyone
on this planet is working
on. Earth is a learning ground. This is the place
we practice trust. This is the place we learn
our inner truths. This is the place we fine-tune
our vibration, so that when we return to abundant
essense we can remain at the higher vibration
to experience the benefit of that awareness.
If we don't raise our vibration while we are on
the planet, we will surely come back, and try
again. This isn't a right or wrong situation.
Source does not judge us.
Source does not know how to judge. It is simply
love. We will most certainly judge ourselves when
we compare ourselves to ourselves at the culmination
of our growth
experience here on Earth school. Before you dismiss
the power of the intangible, consider
the price of poverty and the consciousness of
lack.
Choose your thoughts, and your words carefully.
What you give your attention to is what you will
bring into your life. Practice, practice, practice.
If you choose to believe in the finite laws of
life, you will receive finite limited results
in your experience. If you choose to believe in
the infinite possibilities of life, then you will
be tapping into
limitless possibilities in your space. Challenge
your perspective. Use your free will wisely. |

Wake Up and Live
the Life You Love...
The
Energy of Life
At
times my life has read like a struggle for survival,
as have many lives. The challenges in my life
have included loneliness, betrayal and rejection
by many I held most dear. As I lived through these
events, I developed strength, courage and love.
With courage I faced my fears. With strength I
remained true to myself. With love I experienced
renewal.
As
an incest survivor, I know a lot about control,
abuse of power and fear. The person who abused
me, and the people who allowed it to continue,
were all people with lives veiled in fear. Over
time, as I healed, it became difficult to hate
these people although the injuries I experienced
at their hands altered my life and personality
forever. Why is it I don’t hate these people?
Moreover why is it that I send love to them?
What
I came to learn through my healing process is
that all our experiences contribute to the totality
of our spirit and consciousness. It is ‘I”
who make the difference in how experiences shape
my life. No person or event has the power to choose
how I create my life. No injury can stop me from
realizing my potential. The only person who can
stop me from realizing my potential is me.
The
path to success for me lay in forgiveness. Forgiveness
led me to compassion for my victimizers and the
darkness in their hearts. Compassion taught me
that it is only when all people are whole and
complete will humanity live in peace and prosperity.
I
have met many people who define their lives with
a victim mentality, consciously or unconsciously.
The position of victim is power-less. You cannot
create a prosperous life from a victim position.
The lie about “they did it to me”
is really a mask for fear that says “Am
I valid? Do I matter? Can I believe in myself?”
The “victim” is afraid that the lie
is true. Victims stay entrenched in the illusion
of comfort and connection, even when the comfort
or connection is empty and painful.
From
childhood, I was blessed to know there was more
to life than what I saw, touched, tasted or smelled.
I held on to my center tightly. Even when no one
else would tell me I mattered, somehow I knew
I did matter, and that one day my value would
be reflected back to me.
Through
all my trials and tribulations I listened to my
inner voice, my conscience, my connection to Source.
I learned that it was the noise of life, that
most often contributed to my errors in judgment.
So, I learned how to center myself. I learned
how to tell the difference between a truth and
a lie. Our bodies are natural lie detectors, if
we will listen. More accurately, our bodies our
truth detectors. They practically humm and buzz
when truth is spoken. We feel peaceful when truth
is present. Too often we turn away from the inconvenience
of truth. We must always embrace truth without
judgment.
If
we want to create a free flowing relationship
with Source, we have to move away from the concepts
of good, bad, better, worse. The events, relationships
and circumstances we experience must be viewed
neutrally. When neutrality cannot be gained, we
must practice the art of “re-framing.”
We must frame every experience in such a way that
we garner a positive position about our circumstance.
In truth it is an energy game. We must actively
participate in managing the energy of life. If
we judge energy, we create filters through which
we must try to receive, or through which our contributions
must navigate to reach manifestation. Energy like
truth is just “what it is.” The ability
to embrace that reality empowers each of us to
create the landscape of our lives.
People
may ask me “how can you say incest is positive?”
Incest, as a stand alone act, is not positive.
I chose to frame my reactions to it in a way that
caused me to become a better person and a stronger
person owing to the experience. I developed aspects
of myself I might not have ever considered. My
choice was to remain open rather closed. I chose
to believe in self, rather than disbelieve. I
chose to believe there is more to life than the
physical. My consciousness expanded. My heart
expanded. I came to know that only those in pain
hurt others. But further I learned that if I could
contribute to the healing of any other being I
am doing a service to myself and humanity.
My
answer to all my dilemmas in life is to expand
my awareness, my love, my compassion, my strength,
and to spread it in as many directions as possible,
including the direction of those who have caused
me the greatest injury.
As
I have become accomplished at re-framing and giving,
the joy in my life has increased exponentially.
I feel connected to a life purpose. I have a knowing-ness
that I am living the life I am meant to live.
There is no question I am fulfilling my potential.
If I were to break it down, my formula for personal
success lay in the following seven steps:
-
Belief in self, no matter
what. You matter. Your unique opinion and
ideas are vital our planet. You have a contribution
to make that no other person can make. It
is not more important than any other contribution.
Yet without your unique stamp, humanity will
not fully prosper.
-
Learn to listen to self
and to what is not said – Learn to turn
down the noise of life so that you can hear
your guidance, your truth and the insights
that come to us through the grace of synchronicity.
-
Honor and protect the truth
– This is all we have as spirit in the
physical body. It is the key to establishing
your relationship to Source and to finding
your life’s purpose.
-
Embrace forgiveness –
It’s an energy game. To keep your energy
clean and open release painful experiences,
and clear the way for those who have injured
you to find the light in their own lives.
-
Move away from a judgment
mentality - Judgment is an impediment to spiritual
growth. Re-frame experiences to keep yourself
in a position of power. Judgments impede our
ability to give and our ability to receive.
-
Spread love and generosity
of spirit without pause. The ability to send
loving vibrations out to all people at all
times is a gift to you, and to the planet.
Once you connect to your purpose, you earn
the responsibility and the blessed joy of
contributing to the evolution of humanity.
It is a gift to give.
-
Enjoy
your life – Life is work and challenge,
but is also to be treasured and enjoyed. This
is the ultimate act of appreciation to Source
for your life. Just as an artist creates a
stunning work of art for humanity to appreciate,
as we enjoy our life, our work of art, Source
receives joy from the positive expression
of our experience.

The
Economics of Spirituality
A
wise friend of mine recently shared a mantra with
me that she uses to remain conscious of her creative
process. It goes like this, “ORDER IT UP!”
What order it up means, is that every second of
every day your thoughts, words and actions dictate
what you are “ordering” from the universe.
Think of it like you are ordering from a menu
of experiences.
The
amazing part about “ordering” is that
you can actively participate in ordering your
life, or you can abdicate your ordering process
to another, by consenting to their choice for
you. Or, you can resign yourself to a random process,
and let the chips fall where they may. What this
ordering tool really accomplishes is to keep you
conscious.
The
economic turmoil we are experiencing right now
is not the problem in our lives. Economic turmoil
is the symptom of our spiritual bankruptcy. Suze
Orman said it the best when she said “PEOPLE
FIRST, MONEY SECOND, THINGS THIRD”. We have
not lived the correct order to create a prosperous
financial condition.
We
can blame Wall Street, the mortgage industry,
George Bush, Bill Clinton, whomever. Ultimately,
we all have contributed or agreed to participate
consciously or unconsciously in the financial
condition of our lives and our country. Until
our economic condition reached crisis proportion,
we were uninterested in evaluating our intentions
or our creative contributions.
I
have compassion for those experiencing loss. It
is no fun to lose. Clearly, many of us still prefer
to learn through discomfort. As a culture, we
have had an insatiable appetite for products and
lifestyle expansion. We have lived outside of
our means. We have been sleeping through our lives
with no regard to the ramifications of the energetic
contributions we have made to our families, our
communities and our country. In my view this is
a blatant definition of spiritual bankruptcy.
Reckless disregard of our intentions and our contributions
to creative force.
In
terms of the energy of prosperity and money, the
universe is indiscriminate about who receives
prosperity. Whoever can play the energy game effectively
gets prosperity. You don’t necessarily have
to be a good person, a generous person, or a caring
person. One way or another you have to have a
sincere and honest relationship with money. One
thing is clear to me. In order to create money
you must care about it, and you must care about
yourself. Those two pieces are non negotiable
energetically. When Suze Orman said “treat
money like a cherished friend” she meant
it. You really have to do that to create a prosperous
vibration in your space. People who love self,
even ego centric individuals often have prosperity.
They understand consciously or unconsciously about
the focus and commitment to self necessary to
be prosperous.
Recently
I saw Rush Limbaugh on a Barbara Walters special.
I have nearly no ideological similarities with
him. Barbara Walters posed the question to him
“here we are in a recession, and people
are losing their homes, and jobs, and you just
received a $100 million dollar signing bonus,
and a salary of $38 million a year. How do you
explain that?” His response was “I
choose not to participate in the recession.”
Although I don’t resonate with Rush Limbaugh’s
ideology, he clearly has it right when it comes
to money. He wants it, he believes he deserves,
and he will claim it as his right. He remains
unaffected by the external.
One
step in the process that many metaphysicians skip
over is the step of actively claiming what is
theirs. We forget to actively work the energy
in our space to “claim our good.”
Creating prosperity is not a passive process.
The energy of prosperity moves very fast. It is
very open. Passiveness is not open, or fast. It
resonates on the same level with apathy. Lack
of caring. Be awake, and be aware of what is in
your creative mechanism. Be ready to shift, adjust,
expand and change as necessary.
Another
famous speaker is Joel Olsteen. He is an evangelical
Christian minister. Again, I do not agree with
him ideologically on many issues. However, when
it comes to prosperity, he gets it right. He says
“God wants us to be prosperous and have
wealth.” “What I tell people is rather
than putting your energy into your worries about
your condition, put your energy into expecting
God to provide for you, because that’s what
“she/he” wants to do for you.”
Just
because we are metaphysicians and we understand
much about social justice and why expansive vibrations
are important, we need to work on remembering
to ground our prosperity space. We have to claim
it. We have to consciously open ourselves to it.
We have to expect Source to provide it to us.
In the process we have to love ourselves enough
to believe we deserve it.
Look
at your energetic life as a mathematical equation.
If you only have 100 units of energy per day,
and you spend 80 units of energy worrying, and
fearing your circumstances then how much energy
can you possibly have to create prosperity? Take
the time to do the math in your own life. Do the
math regularly. Practice “ordering it up”
in your life to remain conscious. Our relationship
with Source is always one of contribution. One
exchange of energy for another. Be conscious of
this relationship.
This
year, 2009, when the energy of prosperity begins
to stabilize again take the steps to ensure you
are creating what you truly want to manifest in
your life and in the world. Look at your creations/experiences.
They will tell you where your true intentions
lie. Clean up your creative mechanism. Stay awake
in your life. Be conscious. You will live more
authentically, happily and prosperously.
Have
a wonderful New Year. Order up a good one! I look
forward to talking and sharing with you over the
coming year.

Diaries
of a Reluctant Psychic
As my mother's mouth moved
to utter the words "Women can't be ministers"
I felt a dagger rush into my heart. I was wounded
in a way that changed my view of life forever.
At 15 one is quite impressionable. One expects
encouragement from a role model. It doesn't really
matter anymore. I am a minister. All things happen
in their own time.
The information my mother
shared with me was important. In many ways it
was a gift. Now, I understand that all conflicts
in our relationships are those we have chosen
to participate in for the benefit of our own growth
and healing. Had that wound never occurred, the
opportunity for me to distance myself from the
toxicity of that situation would have certainly
been delayed. My growth and progress became escalated
by this experience.
Most of my life, as a
psychic, has been a combination of two lifestyles.
One, hiding my psychic ability. Two, embracing
my psychic ability.
I've often hid because
of two types of attention I receive. One, I live
in a world where at
any given moment in time I can find any number
of people who will tell me I am full of crap,
a fraud, crazy, and for those trying to be generous,
just misguided.
Or, I have people who
want to befriend or utilize my services for free,
or devote themselves to me as if I am guru. They
expect me to know everything about everything,
because I do have some extra sensory perception
that exceeds their own. They are looking for magic.
What is one to do when
they see dead people, auras, and have out of body
experiences when they are wide awake? What would
you do? How would you
share that information?
These are the questions
I have lived with my entire life, and have learned
to strike a balance with for three decades. It
has only been in the last few years that I have
finally embraced who I am, without fear of outside
criticism, or relentless fanatics. Part of it
is the old saying, "where ever you are, there
you go".
I came to a point in my
life where I simply couldn't avoid it any longer.
A moment came in my life when I realized that
although I had been CEO, a Marketing Director,
and a Human Resource Manager, the only thing that
made me feel like me, and as if I was truly making
a contribution, was
my psychic work.
I finally realized that
if something is who you are, it simply is who
you are, no matter how many people tell you it
isn't you. A belief in self regardless of external
stimulation is clearly key to growth.
Amazingly, the moment
I embraced the truth of who I am unconditionally,
doors opened for me effortlessly. I felt happier
than I had in a very long time. In short order
I forgot everything about the external experience
of being psychic, and just began to live the spiritual
beauty of having an awareness that is slightly
elevated all the time.
I began to see a huge
increase in my intuition, and my ability to help
others. I began to experience more joy in my life
than I ever knew possible. Success always seemed
to elude me. Now I saw it everywhere. Now as I
sit here looking back on my years as a reluctant
psychic, I wonder what took me so long to get
here.
As a I psychic, I know
that all things come in their own time, and when
the time is right. I am no different than all
the people I read. I'm just blessed to have a
job that deals in the intangible and spiritual
truth of who we all are.
Here's to life, to self,
to embracing the truth of who you are, no matter
who tells you you're crazy! |

Is
it My Job to Find Osama Bin Laden?
I
recently listened to some debunkers and skeptics
of psychics on Larry King. They were discussing
the rules and regulations for what makes a psychic
valid. Before I go further, since when has it
become all right for someone who is not expert
in my field to tell me what makes me an expert
in my field? I have spent 29 years of my
life understanding energy, and the unseen part
of life. I typically don’t waste my time
with debunkers. Occasionally I get tired
of being attacked by some stranger who doesn’t
“get it”, or doesn’t care enough
to educate themselves to make an informed critique.
They feel justified in lambasting something or
someone they don’t understand because its
suits the purpose of their ego.
Back
to the Larry King program. One person on the panel
indicated that the information psychics offer
is irrelevant and unnecessary. Further, that if
a psychic were to be truly authentic and add value
to the planet, why wouldn’t “they”
find Osama Bin Laden?
The
person who made that statement was of a particular
religious faith. If this person of God really
understood God, spirituality or psychics, they
would know that the benefit of the work is what
happens internally, not externally. It is the
internal changes that manifest the external changes.
A simple law of nature that has eluded this learned
spiritual individual.
I
suppose if I wanted to put my energy into finding
missing persons, including Osama Bin Laden, I
could do that. I would much rather put my energy
into validating the truth of who we are as spirit
and empowering people to have more authentic contributions
to the planet. I’m one of these crazy people
who “thinks” globally and acts locally.
More over, when we become empowered to create
authentically from the part of ourselves that
is timeless, that is where inspiration, miracles
and insight are born. Perhaps through a spiritual
side effect, a metaphysician would indeed find
Osama Bin Laden. How do I know? I don’t.
What I do know is that it’s the marriage
of authentic self to Source that empowers us individually,
and globally. In this marriage is where real power
takes hold.
In
this ego driven culture, there are those who want
to believe that “we have all the power”.
These people don’t even get Awareness 101.
We are co-creators, and thoughts are things. Everything
is energy. Yet, the ego driven debunkers on Larry
King were shouting at the top of their lungs,
saying nothing of value, and demonstrating a lack
of spiritual awareness in action.
Finally, is it not the responsibility of our government
to find Osama Bin Laden? The government said it
was their number one objective. The government
has been unable to find Osama Bin Laden. Is our
government invalid?
Why
are psychics held to a different standard? It’s
because the misinformed expect us to work magic.
We are fortune tellers after all, right? Wrong.
We’re people with some heightened awareness
who have personal experience with the intangible
becoming tangible. To date we do not have technology
that can analyze it, break it down, and serve
it up in some way, the ego driven need to see
it. We can't bring out a bible and say, “see
I’m following the rules”. We are following
the rules of the God of our heart. We let our
conscience lead the way. In the world of the ego
driven self-righteous, there is no room for conscience.
In
any industry you have amazing people, and incompetent
people and everything in between. The psychic
industry is the same. The only way you will know
if a psychic is valid is if you validate it for
yourself. There is no other way. You can’t
read a book, an article or anything else to make
it real for yourself. You have to rely on your
own heart and conscience through experience. One
size (psychic) does not fit all. It is the path
and the need of each individual to discover their
own truth. One person may think a psychic they
visited was nothing short of AMAZING. Someone
else going to the same psychic will think they
were TERRIBLE. That is because this is a spiritual
practice. Sometimes
read-ee’s are not ready to hear truth. Or
the psychic interprets the information incorrectly.
Or, they simply were not a match.
The
message here is this: if you don't know what you're
taking about, if you haven't spent at least 20
years delving into metaphysics, keep your
mouth shut. There's enough noise pollution in
the world already.
FYI,
for the record it's not my job to find Osama Bin
Laden. |
